Kavasila Theater in Kavasila

It is a 1,300-seat stone theater created by the local community to enhance the cultural culture of the region. There, at times and especially during the summer months, various cultural events, such as theatrical performances and concerts, cover a wide range of preferences. The theater is completely renovated and its creation, according to the tradition of Nikolaos Kavasila (1322-1393 AD), was a highly intellectual person with brilliant philosophical and theological training, who lived in the latter area creative years. Indeed, as it is said, the venue of the theater of Kavasilon, was for Nikolaos Kavasila its base and is mentioned as the first man who envisioned Ilia in 1390 as a model European Rural Center.
