Ewe feast

The tradition of the prefecture of Ilia has its roots deep in time. Ourplace, a region of the primary sector, has to offer its quality products that come out rich in Mother Earth. So, in Ilia, in the village of Simopoulos, in Kinia, another event, which began about two years ago, by the Agricultural Association of Pinia, in the memory of a farmer who suddenly left life, Stathis Koufi, was established.
This is the “Ewe Feast” (Ewe means a female sheep) featuring a multitude of parallel events that start from the end of the summer and end in February. On the first day of the great feast, an abundant free ewe (boiled or roasted) and other dishes are offered to visitors, while informal meetings on veterinary and rural issues are held in parallel events.
